Alex is an artist, formally trained as a lawyer. Through her time in the courtroom, she has told the stories of others, humanizing their experiences in the name of advancing basic civil rights for all.

What if Wendy Stayed is Alex's second self-published project. In 2020, she published a collection of short stories she spent over ten years writing: Herstory: A Woman in History. She continuously writes on her blog, Half of the Heart (Has A Real Good Imagination).

Alex recently put her plans of pursuing her MFA in Creative Writing on hold. As a professor of constitutional law, and in this pivotal moment in the U.S., she wanted to ensure she continued to tell the stories of the U.S. Constitution, and to empower her students to become the next generate of change. She plans on re-applying for her MFA next year.

The daughter of two pilots, Alex is always seeking adventure. She is a lover of the stars, the ocean, and sports. She's the loudest California-based Chicago Bears fan there is. Moreover, how can you not be romantic about baseball?
